The history of Château Clinet, which was named the Premier Cru of Pomerol in 1893, goes back to the 17th century.
The estate was bought by Jean-Louis Laborde in 1998 and is now run by Ronan Laborde.
Clinet is situated on the highest part of the famous Pomerol plateau and has an exceptional terroir. The winery runs an integrated cultivation and does most of the necessary work by hand.
In the underground cellar, the grapes are picked up by gravity and the vinification is carried out in the most natural way possible.
The wine matures in oak barrels and is bottled without fining or filtration.
