Subscription or “en primeur” is the spring presale of wine (wine futures). In this case you are buying a wine at a fixed price, while it’s still in the barrel. The delivery takes place after the wine has been released from the winery and is in stock in our warehouse.

For example: The campaign for the vintage 2018 begins in May 2019. The delivery takes place two years after that, in spring 2021.

The benefit of an en primeur wine is the fixed price, which can otherwise spike after the wine has been released in bottles. Furthermore, purchasing en primeur gives you the opportunity to secure wines that may have very limited quantities and be difficult to buy after they are bottled.
