Château Clerc Milon, which was declared a Cru Classé in 1855, is located in the municipality of Pauillac on the Gironde estuary. Its 40 hectares of vineyards border on Mouton and Lafite, two of the most famous wineries in the Médoc, and possess a first-class terroir in terms of both the nature and orientation of the soils.
In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild bought Château Clerc Milon, whose condition and cultivation left much to be desired. However, thanks to the dynamism of his daughter, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, and a dedicated team, Clerc Milon gradually underwent a renaissance: the vineyards were cleared and restructured and various technical improvements were introduced. The construction of a new fermentation cellar in 2007 and the acquisition of new and very innovative equipment for the area completed the renovation work. These changes are now bearing fruit, making Clerc Milon a new reference in the Médoc.
Its wine has become one of the most sought-after in its appellation and, thanks to the prestige it has acquired and its richness, it can stand comparison with the best.
