Originated was the Chateau Retout in the 50's of the last century because of a fusion of Retout Pineguy Mercadier and Chateau Salva de Camino in Haut Medoc. They were destroyed by a vine fretter plaque. But the Kopp-family began the reconstruction this Chateaus. Now it is a considerable Chateau with 30 ha.

Here grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. All of the Chateau is arranged organic. The style of these wines are similar to some of the Margaux or Pauillac appellation.
