Similarly to Canon La Gaffeliere, a noble dynasty in person of the Malet-Roquefort Family has governed at Chateau La Gaffeliere for four hundred years. Today's manager is Comte Léo de Malet-Roquefort.
The vineyards with area of 22 ha are planted with 66% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 17% Cabernet Sauvingnon. 100% of new oak barrels are used for the vinification. The La Gaffeliere wine is rather elegant and delicate than full-bodied and concentrated.
