In 1994 Stephan Graf von Neipperg took over Clos de l'Oratoire and kissed it awake from its Sleeping Beauty sleep. Since he has held the sceptre in his hands, it has been showered with praise from the trade press. 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc are planted here on 10.3 hectares. Due to low yields, late harvesting, longer maceration periods and partly organic farming, Graf Neipperg has taken the winery to the top in St. Emilion.
