Château d'Armailhac is situated in the Pauillac appellation in Médoc. The vineyard belongs together with Clerc Milon and the Premier Crú Mouton Rothschild to the Philippe de Rothschild's ownership. It was established by the eponym Armailhac Family. Several name changes followed, caused by different reasons. In 1933 Baron Philippe de Rothschild bought the estate from the descendants of the Armailhac Family. After his wife's death in 1975 the estate was named Mouton-Baronne-Philippe. Since 1989 their daughter Philippine has renamed it again into d'Armailhac. The area covers 50 ha distributed between 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
