The Château Cos Labory's name is derivated from the local subdistrict 'Caux' (gravel hill) and the toponym François Labory, the château's first owner during the time span between 1800 and 1840. Since 1958 the estate has been managed by highly professional members of the Audoy family. Cos Labory consists of classical distribution of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Cos Labory is vinified in 40% of new oak barrels during 12 to 15 months.
Cos Labory is distinguished by its deep red colour and is flaunting aromatics of blackberries, smoke and tar. The tannins of full-bodied Cos Labory are still wild and young, but by few years they will have lost their angularity and the wine will offer the highest drinking pleasure.
