In 1871, the Nicolas family bought the estate, whose area and parcelling have remained unchanged since then. Today, the fifth generation of the Nicolas family runs the Château, thus testifying to the family's continuity and attachment to this great wine.
Located in the heart of the famous Pomerol plateau, in the neighbourhood of Pétrus and Cheval Blanc, the estate has an exceptional terroir to which La Conseillante owes its reputation and elegant strength.
Thanks to the consistent quality throughout the vintages, the silky tannins and the aromatic complexity of its wines, the Château has gathered a loyal following all over the world.
