The Chateau Sociando Mallet is a private estate of Jean Gautreau. Complex, slightly rustic aromas of black raspberry, mocha, smoke, game, leather and mint. Supple, sweet and rather easygoing, showing more of a Merlot texture than a sample produced a year ago. Offers plenty of personality. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (42%), Cabernet Franc (2%) and Petit Verdot (1%).
