Château Giscours is one of the most well-known vineyards in Bordeaux, moreover it is accoladed with Troisieme Grand Cru Classé in 1855. The estate is situated in Margaux, in the South-Western neighbouring of Labarde village. The vineyards are planted with 53% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% of Merlot, the remainder consists of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Château Giscours was first mentioned in 1330, it is also said that Louis the XIVth appreciated the wines from Château. The current owner is the Dutch businessman Eric Albada-Jelgersma who also owns Château du Tetre.
