Rieussec is located in the centre of the Sauternes appellation. Its vineyards are, after the Chateau d'Yquem, the second highest in the region and consist of a single vineyard. A rarity for Bordeaux.
Since 1984, Rieussec has been managed by Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, where no expense or effort is spared to produce a high quality wine that ranks among the top 3 Sauternes wines.
