Château Poujeaux is one of the oldest vineyards in Médoc and very appreciated among the classic Bordeaux enthusiasts. Its history goes back to 1544. More recent developments are dedicated to the activity of the Theil Family who bought the Château in 1920. Until recently the estate was run by the successors of the family. In 2008 it was sold to the Parisian billionaire Philipe Cuvelier.

The planting is distributed between 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Château Poujeaux is distinguished through its spicy oak notes combined with attractive, dark fruits. Streamlined palate, short on concentration, with a good depth of fruit in it. The fruit shows some spicy notes.

Cuvée 2012: 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot
