The Chateau La Tour Carnet was acquired by its current owner Bernard Magrez, who already was the proprietor of a number of other Bordeaux estates at that time. The vines are Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (33%), Cabernet Franc (10%) und Petit Verdot (4%). This wine exhibits a sensational smorgasbord of aromas ranging from red and black fruits to toasty oak, to licorice, high quality cigar tobacco, and spice box. Flavourful and full-bodied, with rich fruit, moderate but sweet tannin, and a long, pure finish.
