Only 5000 bottles of this top Cuvées are produced annually. The grape variety, the major part in which the Mourvedre (70%) is, hail from over 70 years old vines. The opulence, density and complexity are stunning.
Cuvée: 70% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 10% Counoise
Awards & Ratings
97 - 100 Points Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate:
"Loaded with mulberry and blueberry fruit, graced by hints of star anise, cardamom, cinnamon and allspice, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin is another standout vintage for this wine. Full-bodied, rich, velvety and long on the finish, at this point, it's maybe not quite as sure a thing to reach the century score as the beyond-superlative 2018, but I wouldn't rule it out. This is seriously great wine." - Joe Czerwinski, 30-08-2019
