Chateau de Francs is located in the very East of Bordeaux and North of the Cotes de Castillon and is owned by Bernard Thomassin. The appellation was classified in 1967 and it is the youngest one in Bordeaux. They produce some very attractive wines, which are rich, with a good bouquet. Chateau de Francs has a cherry colour with crimson glints, and elegant, appealing aromas of stewed fruits. The vineyards are planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.
